Biohybrid Swarm Systems Summer School will bring together experts and students to delve into the fascinating intersection of biology, robotics, and computer sciences.

This summer school aims to advance research at the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, and biological systems by exploring how biohybrid swarms—where robots and living organisms interact—can be leveraged for collective intelligence. Participants will gain hands-on experience in swarm robotics, bioinspired algorithms, and real-world applications, contributing to the development of innovative methodologies for studying complex adaptive systems.

Objectives

  • Provide a foundational understanding of biohybrid swarm intelligence.
  • Explore the latest advancements in swarm robotics and bioinspired systems.
  • To facilitate communication between students, researchers and experts in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics and biology.
  • Develop hands-on experience with biohybrid swarm experiments and simulations.
  • Investigate real-world applications of biohybrid swarms.
The summer school will be held on July 4 – 6, 2025 at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Türkiye.
